The Arcadia Valley R-II School District has a NO-TAX RATE INCREASE bond issue on the April 8th ballot to expand the school district's efforts to provide a safe learning environment for our students and create unique student engagement experiences for both our students and our community.

The proposed plan includes:

• Construction of a new Preschool Building at the Elementary School that would be constructed to Storm Shelter specifications to house all students and staff at the elementary building during a severe weather event.

• Construction of a Performing Arts Center at the HS that would be constructed to Storm Shelter specifications to house all students and staff in the middle and high school during a severe weather event.

• Complete other repairs and improvements to existing facilities of the district, including restroom renovations and updates to the front of the high school.

This General Obligation Bond Issue would be in the amount of $6 million. Current tax rates are a combined $3.37 (2.75 Operating Levy and 0.62 Debt Service Levy). If the debt service levy extension is approved, the debt service levy is estimated to remain the same at 0.62.

The Arcadia Valley School District has a long history of providing excellent education and learning opportunities for our students, while maximizing the local funds we receive from our tax payers. As you can see below, AV Schools has one of the lowest tax rates in the area and well below the state average.
