This bunch right here... yeah... I'd take them in my corner any day of the week! THEY FIGHT FOR OUR STUDENTS EACH AND EVERY DAY! They have HUGE hearts for kids and work their tails off to handle tough conversations, celebrate students accomplishments, and provide numerous resources to students and families (there is really so much they do that we can't put it all on here).
This week we celebrate and give thanks for Mrs Kassi Inman (Elementary Counselor), Mrs. Crystal Buckman (Middle School Counselor), Mrs. Nicole Thomas (High School Counselor), Mrs. Lois Yates (CTC Counselor), and Mrs. Rebecca Weaver (School Social Worker).
Awesome Job! Mrs. Tammy Inman's 4th grade class received a grant from the Missouri State Teachers Foundation and created an FANTASTIC book by their students! Also a shout out to Makayla Keesee in the High School for designing the cover!

Homecoming 2021
Float Viewing:
On this Friday evening @ 7PM we will be posting a video of a Virtual Float Viewing. Public viewing will not be happening this year due to the amount of people we would have in small indoor spaces. We are so sorry for this inconvenience.
We love dressing up in our flannel shirts...eating chili... then going around to the different sites... looking at the amazing work people do in only one week...and then arguing about which is better... we will miss that but I hope everyone understands that this year, like everything, is a little different.
Parade:
The outdoor parade will go on as normal beginning at 10:00 AM from Pilot Knob on Saturday, October 17. Lineup is at 9:00. If you haven't already reserved your spot in the parade please do so ASAP. Contact 573-546-9700 ext 5 and ask for Mrs. Marquis.
The weather is shaping up to be a perfect fall day for a Parade!
Coronation:
Candidate voting will take place outside, in drive-through fashion, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 30 in front of the Middle and High School Building Entrance. One vote per individual present. Cost to vote is $2.
Attendance in the Gym will be limited this year. Each participant in the festival will be given 12 tickets for their guests and will have a reserved section for their group. Any AV High School student will be welcomed in the gym and will sit in their Class (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) designated sections.
All other guests may watch the coronation live on the big screen in the high school breezeway area (some may refer to this as next to the Butts Up Area) beginning at 7 PM. Bring your lawn chair!
The procession will include an outside component on the sidewalk running next to the breezeway area so that all guests viewing will be able to see this year's participants (in those big puffy dresses) both in person and on the screen. (We realize no one wants to miss the bows!)
*The event will be recorded and posted on the district's social media pages sometime after the conclusion of the event.
