Last week marked the first in a series of guests on campus who will share their knowledge and expertise with our high school students that will contribute to their postsecondary success.
The first AVHS Lunch & Learn was hosted by the team at the Ozark Regional Library System. They spoke with 30 students about library services available to them now as students and members of our community, as well as services available to them at university libraries!
Thank you to the fantastic group of students who came eager to learn, to our Food Service Program for providing box lunches to any student, and to our guests for sharing their expertise with our students.
Lunch & Learn events are put on by Mrs. Nicole Thomas, AVHS Postsecondary Counselor. If you would like information on how you could help contribute to these events, please contact Mrs. Thomas at nthomas@avr2.org.

The Arcadia Valley School District would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Brant. Brant was a recent graduate of the Valley R-VI school district, and also recently completed the Construction Technology Program at the Arcadia Valley Career Tech Center.
Over the last two years, Brant was an integral part of our program, helping to lead out jobs on projects such as our our Pavilion project and recently on our Downtown Revitalization project among others.
Brant never seemed to know a stranger, and if he did, they weren’t a stranger for long. He will be greatly missed by so many.

AV Elementary School Update:
Hope you all are enjoying your summer! If you would like to see your homeroom class, the class lists are posted on the elementary front doors.
*PLEASE DO NOT post photos of rosters to social media as some parents/students like to find out at open house. Thank you.

CHECK THIS OUT!
Built in house by Arcadia Valley Career Tech Center students during the 2021-22 school year in Mr. Clayton Wilson’s welding class. Brand new RZR buggy custom tube chassis. Students were involved in building this from the ground up. During this build students worked on multiple concepts across the curriculum including fabricating, mig and tig welding, blueprints and design, sheet metal work, plasma cutting, and many mechanical concepts along the way.
There are many people that contributed to making this build possible at Arcadia Valley Career Tech. Thanks to the many sponsors beginning with Midwest Sports who gave us a great deal on the UTV, purchased through a grant, that we used to create this chassis. Jonathan Shepherd of Skinny Pedal Fab donated a lower chassis kit for this project, and this kit really speeds up the build process and is custom made for Polaris specs. Justin Pierpoint, owner at ORB, provided the front HD A-arms. Thanks to Bill Frascella from Nitro Racing Products for the billet radius rods and gated shifter. Ryan Snyder of Planet SXS donated the 15” Raceline Ryno Beadlocks. X-Pert Powdercoat’s crew finished off the buggy with the silver vein powder coat and the vinyl wrap.
These businesses and their support in helping to teach our students has been ongoing throughout the process of this build. The off-road community of businesses have continued to be excited about our students’ learning.
Last but definitely not least, these students from Arcadia Valley, Bunker, Iron County C-4, South Iron, Marquand, and Valley school districts, have shown off excellent job skills and performance throughout this entire process.
